    This Privacy Policy describes how ADDAX Outdoors ("ADDAX," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ADDAX mobile application on Android or iOS (the "App").

    1. Who this policy covers

    This policy applies to users of the ADDAX App. The App is a companion product for ADDAX trailers and related battery systems. It helps you register ownership information, manage trailers on your device, connect to supported batteries over Bluetooth, and view status information such as state of charge.

    2. Information we collect

    2.1 Information you provide

    When you use warranty / owner registration features, you may provide:

    • First name and last name
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Trailer VIN (vehicle identification number)
    • Trailer model, color, and a nickname you choose for the trailer

    You choose what to enter. Some registration features require certain fields (for example, a valid email) before submission.

    2.2 Information from device features

    With your permission where required by the operating system, the App may use:

    • Bluetooth — to discover and connect to supported trailer battery hardware, and to receive battery readings (such as state of charge and related pack telemetry) while connected.
    • Camera — to scan VIN barcodes on trailer labels and QR codes used to identify or pair a battery. Images are processed on-device for scanning; we do not intend to upload raw camera frames as a general photo library feature.
    • Location (Android, where required) — on some Android versions, nearby-device / Bluetooth scanning may require a location permission. The App uses this to enable Bluetooth scanning for battery devices, not to track your continuous geographic location as a product feature.
    • Internet — to communicate with ADDAX servers when registration or sync features are used.

    2.3 Information stored on your device

    The App may store on your device:

    • Trailer profiles you add (VIN, model, color, name, and related registration fields)
    • Battery connection details you set up (for example, a Bluetooth address or pairing identifier associated with a trailer)
    • Recent battery readings cached for display

    This local data remains on your device unless you remove a trailer, clear app data, or uninstall the App.

    2.4 Information sent to ADDAX servers

    When you submit or update owner / warranty registration (or related trailer attributes) through the App, we may transmit information such as VIN and the registration fields listed above to ADDAX backend services (for example, at api.addaxoutdoors.com) so we can record warranty status and ownership details associated with your trailer.

    2.5 Information we do not sell

    We do not sell your personal information.

    3. How we use information

    We use the information described above to:

    • Provide App features (trailer management, warranty registration, battery connection, and status display)
    • Create and maintain warranty / ownership records for your ADDAX trailer
    • Support customer service and product communications related to your registration
    • Improve reliability and safety of product features (for example, troubleshooting connection issues you report)
    • Comply with law and enforce our terms

    We do not use your camera or Bluetooth permissions for third-party advertising.

    4. How we share information

    We may share information only as needed to operate the App and our business, including:

    • Service providers who host or operate infrastructure on our behalf (for example, cloud or network hosting for the registration API), under obligations to protect the data
    • Legal requirements when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
    • Business transfers if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction

    We do not share your registration information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

    5. Data retention

    • On your device: Local trailer and battery data remains until you delete it in the App, clear App storage, or uninstall the App.
    • On our servers: Warranty / registration data associated with a VIN may be retained as long as reasonably necessary for warranty administration, product records, customer support, and legal obligations. If you want us to review or update registration details, contact us using the information below.

    6. Security

    We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. Access to our registration systems is restricted to authorized use.

    7. Children's privacy

    The App is intended for adults who own or manage ADDAX trailers. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

    8. Your choices and rights

    Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you.

    You can:

    • Edit owner / registration information in the App where that screen is available
    • Remove trailers from the App on your device
    • Revoke camera, Bluetooth, or location permissions in your device system settings (some App features will stop working)
    • Contact us at sales@addaxoutdoors.com to request access, correction, or deletion of server-side registration data associated with you

    We may need to verify your request before fulfilling it.

    9. International users

    ADDAX Outdoors is based in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, information you submit may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

    10. Third-party links and platforms

    The App may be distributed through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Those platforms have their own privacy policies governing how they collect and use information. This Privacy Policy covers ADDAX's practices for the App, not the platforms themselves.

    11. Changes to this policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
