Dometic equipment on the Basecamp V3

Dometic makes mobile living equipment for RVs, boats and overland vehicles, and its portable toilet is the piece ADDAX includes in the All Comfort Package for the Basecamp V3.

Why a portable toilet belongs in an overland trailer

Self-contained camping is the practical difference between staying at a dispersed site and driving out to find facilities. Many public lands now require you to pack out human waste, and a sealed portable toilet is the simplest way to comply without building a plumbed black-water system into a 2,000 lb trailer.

It also changes who comes with you. Families, mixed groups and anyone unenthusiastic about a shovel are far more willing to spend a second and third night out when this problem is solved.

    What ADDAX includes

The Dometic portable toilet is part of the All Comfort Package, alongside the premium rooftop mattress, the quick-deploy car-side shower, the propane on-demand water heater and the camp kitchen upgrades. Together those are the items that make a Basecamp feel like a room rather than a base for a tent.

The toilet stores in the trailer's cargo space and works with the trailer's 22-gallon fresh water system and the shower for a complete self-contained camp setup.

    • Dometic portable toilet included in the All Comfort Package
    • Sealed and self-contained — no plumbing to install in the trailer
    • Pairs with the quick-deploy car-side shower and the propane on-demand water heater
    • Supports pack-it-out rules on public land

    Frequently asked questions

Does the Basecamp have a bathroom?
It is not a plumbed RV. The All Comfort Package adds a Dometic portable toilet plus a quick-deploy car-side shower and a propane on-demand water heater, which together cover the same need without the weight of a black-water system.
Where does the toilet store when travelling?
In the trailer's cargo space. It is a self-contained unit, so it does not require dedicated plumbing or a fixed enclosure.
