Buying an ADDAX
How the purchase works, who you buy from, and what happens after.
How do I buy an ADDAX Basecamp V3?
Through an authorized ADDAX dealer. Build your configuration in the online customizer or find your closest dealer on the locator, and the dealer handles the quote, paperwork and delivery.
Can I buy direct from ADDAX?
No. ADDAX sells through its dealer network rather than direct to consumers, so your local dealer can handle financing, service and warranty work in person.
Do you publish prices on the website?
No. Pricing depends on your configuration, add-on packages and your dealer, so quotes come from the dealer rather than a list price on this site.
Is financing available?
Yes — our dealer partners arrange financing. Ask your dealer which lenders they work with and what terms you qualify for.
Do you ship nationwide?
ADDAX trailers are distributed across the continental United States through the dealer network. Your dealer can quote transport to your location.

How much does the Basecamp V3 weigh?
1,800 lb dry and about 2,000 lb wet with the 22-gallon fresh water tank filled.
What is the payload capacity?
1,450 lb, on a 3,500 lb total axle rating (1,750 lb per side).
How much ground clearance does it have?
17 inches, on 29-inch all-terrain tires and 15-inch rims with a 5 x 5 lug pattern.
What size is the trailer?
A 6 ft x 6 ft footprint, with a 47-inch removable tongue and a 26 in x 40 in removable front deck.
What is it built from?
A 3/16-inch steel chassis with reinforced crossbars and a 14-gauge steel body, both powder-coated, with exterior MOLLE panels.
Towing
What it takes to pull a Basecamp V3 and what to check before you do.
What vehicles can tow an ADDAX Basecamp V3?
At roughly 2,000 lb wet, the Basecamp sits within the tow rating of most Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators, mid-size and full-size pickups, and body-on-frame SUVs. Confirm your own vehicle's tow rating and tongue-weight limit before towing.
Does the trailer have brakes?
Yes — electromagnetic drum brakes on torsion axles, wired through the standard 7-pin vehicle connector. You will need a brake controller in your tow vehicle.
What hitch does it use?
The Basecamp ships with a standard coupler and front and rear receiver hitches. The All Terrain package adds a Cruiser Outfitters articulating off-road coupler that lets the trailer flex independently of the tow vehicle.
Can I tow it with a half-ton truck?
Yes, comfortably — a 2,000 lb trailer is well under any half-ton's rating. The limiting factor for most owners is the tow vehicle's off-road capability, not its tow capacity.
Power and electrical
The 12 V and 110 V systems, charging, and what you can run.
What battery does the Basecamp V3 use?
A 100 amp-hour slimline lithium battery.
How does the battery charge?
Three ways: up to 220 W of solar input, a DC-to-DC charger from the tow vehicle while you drive, and shore-power pass-through when you have an outlet.
What can the inverter run?
The 1500 W inverter (4500 W peak surge, 95% efficient) feeds four 110 V outlets — two inside, two outside — so it handles fridges, lights, laptops, tools and audio. Check the draw of any high-wattage appliance before plugging it in.
Are there USB and 12 V ports?
Yes — USB, 12 V and SAE power-out ports, plus a smart LCD display and a six-rocker switch panel with two open switches for accessories.
Can I add more solar?
Yes. The All Season package includes an Expion360 portable solar bundle for long or shaded off-grid stays.
Water and kitchen

How much water does the Basecamp carry?
A 22-gallon fresh water tank with a level gauge and an electric pump.
Is there a kitchen?
Yes — a 7-foot pull-out galley with a 53-liter electric refrigerator on a slide, standard.
Can I get hot water and a shower?
Yes, through the All Comfort package, which adds a propane water heater and an OVS quick-deploying car-side shower and privacy room.
Is there a stove?
A Camp Chef two-burner stove and a secure exterior propane bracket are included in the All Comfort package.
Sleeping and shelter
The rooftop tent, awning and how the camp space expands.
What rooftop tent comes with the Basecamp V3?
A pre-installed Centori Outdoors aluminum hard-shell rooftop tent.
Does it come with an awning?
Yes — a pre-installed OVS 270-degree batwing awning.
Can I add walls or an annex?
Yes. The All Season package adds 270° awning side walls with a window and a ground-level annex that hangs off the rooftop tent for extra sleeping, storage or changing space.
Can I camp in it in winter?
The All Season package is built for exactly that: an insulated tent liner, a portable AC/heater unit, and enclosed awning walls to block wind and hold heat.
Add-on packages

What is in the All Terrain package?
A full-size spare on a heavy-duty swing-out mount, a Cruiser Outfitters articulating hitch, two stackable RotoPax fuel cans on locking mounts, four ratchet straps and an electric air compressor.
What is in the All Season package?
An insulated rooftop tent liner, a portable AC/heater, 270° awning side walls, a ground annex and an Expion360 portable solar bundle.
What is in the All Comfort package?
A mattress upgrade, a Dometic portable toilet, a propane water heater, an OVS shower and privacy room, a propane bracket, a Camp Chef stove and a weatherproof outdoor speaker.
Can I take more than one package?
Yes. The three packages are independent and can be combined in any mix.

Can I customize my trailer?
Yes. The online customizer lets you build a configuration and submit it for a dealer quote.
What is the difference between the Basecamp V3 and the Jeep Edition?
The Jeep Edition is a Basecamp V3 finished and badged for Jeep owners. The chassis, power system and kitchen are identical.
Does my configuration lock in when I submit it?
No. Submitting a configuration starts a conversation with a dealer — you can change anything before you order.
Warranty, service and manuals

What warranty do you offer?
Every ADDAX trailer carries a factory warranty. Full terms and the claim form are on the warranty page, and your dealer handles warranty service.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Submit the warranty claim form on the warranty page with your trailer details, purchase date and photos of the issue.
Where do I find the owner's manual?
On the manuals page, which hosts the current Basecamp owner's manual as a downloadable PDF.
Who services the trailer?
Your authorized ADDAX dealer. The locator lists every dealer by state.
Storage and payload
What you can carry, where it goes, and how to load it.
How much gear can I actually carry?
Up to 1,450 lb of payload. Water counts toward that — a full 22-gallon tank is roughly 183 lb — so plan your load around a filled tank if you travel with one.
Where does gear mount on the outside?
On the exterior MOLLE panels, the 26 in x 40 in removable front deck and the front and rear receiver hitches. The All Terrain package adds four ratchet straps for securing loads.
Can I carry extra fuel?
Yes — the All Terrain package includes two stackable, sealed RotoPax fuel cans on locking mounts, kept clear of the kitchen.
Can the tongue and front deck come off?
Yes. The 47-inch tongue and the front deck are both removable, which helps with tight garage or trailer-bay storage.
Ownership and maintenance
Living with the trailer between trips.
How do I store the trailer over winter?
Drain the fresh water system before freezing temperatures, keep the lithium battery charged rather than flat, and store the rooftop tent closed and dry. Your dealer can walk you through their local recommendations.
Does the lithium battery need to stay on a charger?
The Basecamp charges from solar, from the tow vehicle via a DC-to-DC charger and from shore power. Leaving it where the solar panel sees light is usually enough to keep it topped between trips.
What maintenance do the brakes and axles need?
Electromagnetic drum brakes on torsion axles should be inspected on the same schedule as any towable trailer's. Your dealer handles this as part of routine service.
How do I clean the steel body?
The chassis and body are powder-coated. Wash off trail salt, mud and brine like you would a tow vehicle, and touch up any coating damage before it sits.

Where can I demo a Basecamp V3?
At authorized dealers listed on the locator. Demo units and inventory vary, so call the dealer before you drive out.
Do you show at overland and RV events?
Yes. The current ADDAX event schedule with dates and venues is on the events page.
Can I bring my tow vehicle to check fitment?
Yes, and it's worth doing — the dealer can check your receiver, 7-pin connector and brake controller against the trailer before you commit.
