What Expedition Portal covered
Expedition Portal covered the SEMA launch of the first-ever Jeep-branded ADDAX trailer and didn't hedge about it. Graeme Bell has hauled trailers across continents, so his read carries more weight than a show-floor hot take.
The piece explains why the license mattered. Jeep doesn't hand its name to a trailer because the paint matches. The build had to clear real standards, and the design brief was simple and brutal: it has to go wherever the Wrangler goes. That constraint drove the hitch, the clearance, the tires, and the frame.
Launching at SEMA meant showing it to a crowd that has seen every version of this idea. Walking out with an award and coverage from the overland press said the constraint worked.
That launch trailer is the direct ancestor of every rig we build now, right down to the hitch philosophy. See where the line ended up on the Basecamp page and build the current version.
