What New Atlas covered
New Atlas went spec-first on the Jeep micro-camper trailer, which is the right way to judge one. Weight, clearance, hitch articulation, tires, tent, storage. Numbers don't get excited.

A trailer that limits your line choice isn't gear, it's a leash. Every spec on the sheet exists to keep the trailer out of the decision.
Micro-camper is an accurate label and a slightly misleading one. Small footprint, yes. Small build, no. The frame and running gear are sized for abuse, because a light trailer that folds on washboard costs you the whole trip.
Those numbers have only gotten better in the years since that first review ran. Compare them against the current Basecamp specs, then build the version you'd hitch up tomorrow morning.
